Iron-fortified Formula
Formula feeding on demand, about 8 to 5 feedings every 24 fours. At approximately 4 months about 6 to 4 feedings every 24 hours. Boil all water for formula and drinking water.

Iron-fortified Formula
Formula feedings on demand, about 5 to 3 feedings evry 24 hours.
Iron-fortified Infant Cereal
At approximately 6 months you may start to introduce iron-fortified infant cereal –rice or barley. Mix with breast milk or formula. Feed cereal from a spoon, not from the bottle. Start with 2 or 3 teaspoons, progress to 2 to 4 tablesspoons twice daily.
Other Grain Products
Introduce other grain products like toast or unsalted crackers.
Vegetables
Offer pureed cooked vegetables –yellow, green or orange. Progress to soft mashed cooked vegetables, 4 to 6 tablespoons a day.
Fruits
Offer pureed cooked fruits, very ripe mashed fruit (e.g.banana) 6 to 7 tablespoons a aday.Around 7 to 9 months fruit juice may br offered from a cup.
Meat and Alternatives
After vegetables and fruits , offer pureed cooked meat, fish, chicken, tofu, mashed beans, egg yolk,1 to 3 tablespoons a day.
Milk Products
Offer plain yogurt (3.25%MF or higher), cottage cheese or grated hard cheese, 1 to 2 tablespoons a day.
Texture
Runny, thin cereal from spoon. Progress to thickened cereal. Finely mashed soft solids.
Other advice
Avoid egg whites, added sugar, salt.
From 9 to 12 months

Formula feeding or whole cow’s milk, about 4 to 3 feedings every 24 hours.
Iron-fortified Infant Cereal
Continue with iron-fortified infant cereal.
Other Grain Products
Introduce other plain cereals, bread, rice and pasta, 8 to 10 tablespoons a day.
Vegetables
Offer mashed or diced cooked vegetables, 6 to 10 tablespoons a day.
Fruits
Offer soft fresh fruits, peeld, seeded and diced or canned fruits packed in water or juice, diced, 7 to 10 tablespoons a day.
Meat and Alternatives
Offer minced or diced cooked meat, fish, chicken, tofu, beans, egg olk, 3 to 4 tablespoons a day.
Milk Products
Introduce whole (homo) cow’s milk. Progress from a bottle to a cup. Continue with plain yogurt (3.25% MF or higher), cottage cheese or other cheese, 2 to 4 tablespoons a day.
Texture
Soft minced or diced table foods.
Other advice
Avoid egg whites, added sugar, and salt.
