Find out time for self

When was the last time you spent some time with self, without thinking about work or personal affairs? There are several ways by which you can make yourself feel special and overcome stress.

Try the following things: 

1. Sit alone and think of those times that had made you smile and laugh your heart out. Remember those moments and laugh once again

2. Throw yourself on the couch and take time out to watch your favourite shows or movies that you had been wanting to watch but have missed yet over and again

3. Read something that inspires you. For a better experience sit alone in your garden or portico or just lie down on the bed; but without distractions 

4. Squeeze time for indulging in your hobbies, at least twice a week. It could be dancing, painting, cooking, swimming, hiking, or anything that you truly love and enjoy doing


Try healing therapies

Self healing is important to pacify your racing mind. In this regard you can try different ways to relax your mind and body to purge out stress, anxiety and other negative emotions.

They are: 

1. Meditation and breathing: Sit or lie down calmly on your bed or anywhere in a soothing environment. Gradually empty your mind. Do not think anything. Just breathe in and out. You can also utter the voice of “ommm” “hmm” from within while exhaling. You can light aromatic candles in a dark room while meditating to make the experience spiritual.

2. Massage therapies: One of the best ways to de-stress is getting a full body massage. Check in a spa and try some of those therapies that would not only detoxify your body but would also help you to get over mental and physical fatigue. Enjoy the session!


Take break for a vacation 

If you have been working for months after months, have been under peer pressure, relationship issues, etc. then you deserve a break from those stressful situations. For this change of place and environment is much needed. Travel alone to a peaceful destination or with your kids and family or friends to relax in and enjoy life.


Change your thoughts and reactions to the situation

If you are emphasizing more on stress, rather than the ways to get over it, you can’t help but magnifying your stress levels. You can very well deal with stress when you let stress not beat you down. So how do you do this? Change your thoughts to handle the situation. Introspect on your attitude towards situations and find out where you are going wrong. 

You are free to take help from a counsellor, a guru or a mentor who will guide to the right track and help you to take control over your mind and surroundings.
