When you return home after a long tiring day’s work and see your face in the mirror, your expression is, “oh no! My skin looks so dull and lifeless!” What do you do then to regain the lost glow on your skin?

We offer you those worth trying home remedies here

Rinse your skin

The instant remedy is to get rid of the settled dust and grime from your skin. Use a face wash containing natural extracts of green apple, apricot or papaya. Rinse your face with cold water and apply moisturizer. There your face is radiant again!

If you are looking forward to a long lasting effect then you must choose any of the natural therapies explained below:

Milk powder and honey

Take a teaspoon of milk power and mix with half teaspoon of honey. Dab the paste on a slice of bread and scrub your face gently in circular motion for 5 minutes. Leave on your skin for 10 minutes more and wash off with plain water

Milk cream and turmeric

Milk cream has excellent revitalizing properties. You can mix the cream of milk with crushed raw turmeric. While turmeric acts like an anti oxidant, protein and fat enriched milk cream polishes your skin. Allow your skin to soak the goodness for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water.

If your skin is extremely dull and oily then this is the best remedy to render a visible glow to your skin. Scoop out the pulp of green papaya and dab on your face with some raw water. You can also cleanse your face with rose water and papaya pulp on regular basis as papaya contains natural cleansing enzymes.

Almond paste and honey/rose water

Almonds are enriched with vitamin E which nourishes your skin in the best way. Soak some almonds overnight in water and make a smooth paste of it the next day. Mix with some honey or rose water to achieve the desired consistency. Apply all over your face. Rinse off when the paste is dry.

Gram flour with vitamin E capsules

You get OTC vitamin E capsules. Prick one and mix it with gram flour (besan) along with some water. Scrub your face, neck and entire body with the pack. Leave on for some time and rinse with cold water. Apply moisturizer all over your skin.

Oatmeal and curd

Blend oatmeal and curd and scrub your face gently with it. You can try this remedy every day for your entire body as well. Oatmeal removes dead cells from your skin while curd improves its texture. All in all your skin gets back its lost sheen.

Massage with olive oil and coconut oil

Massage your skin gently with olive oil and coconut oil. You can substitute coconut oil with pure almond oil while doing it for your face.

Your skin is what you eat! If your diet is nutritious your skin will naturally be glowing. To experience the magic, start having fresh fruits and vegetables as much as you can. Also indulge in eating foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin E like fish, nuts and seeds. Stay away from oily foods and junks.
