We have explained you below:

Check your lifestyle and habits
  • Remember you need adequate sleep! Too much or too little sleep leads to puffy eyes. Limit your sleep to 8 hours in a day.
  • If you are drinking too much alcohol, then take a break to get over those unsightly puffy eyes. The same applies for smoking.
  • Discontinue using any cosmetics that might have triggered allergy in your eyes leading to puffiness and swelling.
  • Sometimes cold weather also leads to puffiness in eyes. So cover yourself properly or turn on the warm to beat the cold.

Take cold compress

Cold compress is an excellent natural remedy for those bags occurring underneath your eyes due to stress, lack of sleep, etc.

There are various ways to apply cold compress in your eyes and we describe them below:

Moist cotton: Take out a bottle of chilled water from your refrigerator and soak the cotton balls in it. Close your eyes and compress with the cotton for 15 minutes. Repeat again if needed.

Cucumber compress: Cucumbers are naturally cool; they help relieve stress from eyes, therefore helping you to get over puffiness. Take out the cucumber from the fridge and cut it in to thin round slices after peeling off the skin. Make sure the knife is absolutely clean. Now place the cucumber slices over your eyes and rest for 15-20 minutes without opening your eyes.

Tea bag compress: If you notice some kind of irritation or inflammation in your eyes that has led to the swelling and puffiness, then tea bags are the perfect natural remedy for it. Be it green tea, chamomile tea or black tea; step them for 2-3 minutes in hot water. Take them out and keep inside the refrigerator until they are chilled. Close your eyes and then compress with the tea bags.
