2.Apple Cider Vinegar:  Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm water and drink it.

3.Baking Soda: For instant relief mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda to a glass of warm water

4.Lemon: A glass of warm lemon water will aid in relieving gas.

5.Garlic: Cut a few pieces of garlic, boil it in water and sip it.

6.Carminative herbs - Herbs such as anise, caraway, fennel, cumin, basil, carom and cardamom are very helpful in preventing the formation and elimination of gas. Pop these every day after meal to ward off gas for a long time.

OTC Medicines

Numerous gas medicines are available over the counter. Ask a chemist for some over the counter medicines, syrups or powders that help in elimination of gas. You can also consume activated charcoal for immediate relief.

Balance Your Bacteria

Whenbacteria thrive in your colon, they can release gas in your stomach. Therefore, you need tointroduceprobiotic bacteria in your body. This can be done eating fermented and cultured food in your diet. You can either consume commercial supplements or derive it from yogurt, buttermilk, and fermented soy products like fermented tofu, natto, etc. for probiotic bacteria to enter your stomach.

1.Avoid Dairy Products: Lactose intolerant people are more prone to gas and bloating. Avoid lactose based dairy products like milk and ice-creams.
