How to manage body odor?

Infuse fragrance in your bathing water

When you take bath in perfumed water, the beautiful fragrance lingers...Bathing essences of strawberry, lavender, vanilla, chocolates, and other aromatic flavors work wonder on females.

Guys out there, do not worry about getting repelled; instead opt for stronger colognes and musk or any refreshing yet masculine fragrances. Pour them generously in your bathtub and see the difference.

However, make sure you have rinsed your body and then take plunge in the perfume infused water as the last stunt.


Keep yourself squeaky clean

Do not dare to wear the same clothes that you wore the previous day if you have body odor problem! Make sure you clean your home wear apparels, undergarments, and socks on regular basis and your wardrobe is dry and clean. Form a habit of spraying your clothes with perfume while arranging them inside your wardrobe.

Take bath at least twice a day with an antiseptic or deodorant based soap or body wash.


Check out the fabric of your clothing

Do you often wear body hugging tight clothes, silken, nylon and chiffon apparels? If your answer is yes then it’s time to change your fabric! They reason is- such fabrics choke your skin pores as sweat accumulates, thereby enhancing the odor. So opt for light, loose and pure cotton clothes that allow your skin to breathe.


Make antiperspirants, deodorants and perfumes your best friend

True that! Always carry them with you. While antiperspirants rescue you from profuse sweating, deodorants cover from for the foul smell emitted by action of bacteria on your sweat. And perfumes, no wonder keep your smelling great.

So whatever products you choose for odor control, make sure you are using them generously and many times in a day to keep bad odor at the bay.


Magic of vinegar and lemon

These two are citrus agents capable of absorbing sweat and odor and you can use them daily before stepping out of home.

Try it after you have freshened up! Take a few cotton balls and soak it in pure lemon juice or vinegar. Dab it over your underarms for some time. You can pack some wet cotton balls in small box and carry it while travelling. Use it as an instant remedy! However, do not use cosmetic products after applying lemon or vinegar.

If you have body odor problem then have the last rinse with fresh lemon water or vinegar water.


Detoxify your system internally

Many people smell bad because they eat bad! It’s a fact that eating foods having strong odor can enhance your body odor. Thus, you need to eliminate some foods and include a few for managing body odor. 

  • Cut back on garlic, onions and ginger because they have strong smell.
  • Add minimum spices while cooking. Red hot chilies, pepper and sauces as they increase perspiration.
  • Eat light foods prepared by grilling, boiling, roasting or steaming.
  • Eat leafy greens like celery, mint, coriander and lettuce.


Keep yourself hydrated

Hydration is important for flushing out toxins. If you do not drink enough water or fluids then you are vulnerable to body odor. So make sure you are drinking at least 2 liters of water daily.

Additionally, prefer consuming sugar free green tea and fresh juices of lime, lemon, pineapple, berries, tomatoes, and watermelon to purify your system internally.
