Trans fats in margarine increase heart disease risk

Skip margarine in breakfast to have a healthy heart: Watch out for tall claims of margarine being “heart friendly”. On the contrary, the hydrogenation process (through which the margarine is being made) produces Trans fats, which may raise the risk of heart disease by promoting inflammation and elevating cholesterol levels, all the while decreasing HDL (good cholesterol).
