Salt does not always have adverse effects on your health. It contains sodium, which in moderation helps with water retention, muscle contraction as well as plays a role in digestion and absorption of nutrients. Sodium deficiency in the body can lead to high body temperature leading to heavy perspiration and dehydration. It can also lead to low blood pressure leading to shock. Low sodium can knock off the healthy acid-base as well as tissue water balance in the body. So, do include a little salt in your diet. A little sodium in diet will do more good than harm your body.
