Pain killers like NSAIDs (non steroidalanti inflammatory drugs), celebrex, and ibuprofen interfere with the immune system and reduces the effectiveness of flu shot and other vaccines. This is one of reason why elders who take lots of NSAIDs are less responsive to flu shots. On the day of flu shot, consider another kind of pain killer unless the doctor prescribes it.
