Limit vitamin K if you are on anticoagulants
Oct 16, 2012
People who are on anticoagulants or blood thinning agents should limit the intake of vitamin K in food and should avoid vitamin K supplements as well. Vitamin K when taken in excess along with anticoagulants can hamper the proper functioning of the drug and can lead to adverse drug interaction. Daily dose of vitamin K along with an anticoagulant should not exceed 90 - 120 micrograms from food sources per day.
