Eat smaller meals to prevent heartburn

Have you noticed heartburn after you eat a hearty meal? Well, it is because a stomach full of food causes it to stretch more. This causes pressure on the lower esophageal sphincter (LES). Thus, causing the acids move in the opposite direction, leading to symptoms of heartburn. In order to prevent this, eat smaller meals during the day. This helps in easy digestion and reduces the risk of your last meal coming back to your throat to haunt you all through the night!
