Drinking plenty of water helps in keeping the mouth clean. Water helps in washing the left over food particles and it also stimulates the regulation and formation of saliva. Saliva plays a vital role in keeping the mouth clean and dissolves the food particles, which cause bad breath. Remember, bad breath is accentuated by dry mouth.
