Cabbage is anticancer: Good news for salad lovers. Cabbage family (cruciferous) vegetables contain protective phytochemicals, which helps the body eliminate carcinogens. Including just two servings a day of these veggies either in salads or in the main course could cut down the risk for certain cancers up to 50%. They are known to stimulate the body to produce enzymes that prevent cancerous manifestations.
