Brushing after eating acidic foods can sour your smile

Feb 02, 2015
Brushing teeth immediately after a meal may seem as a good habit, but it may do more harm than good. Studies have proven that brushing too soon after eating or drinking acidic food may allow the acid to go deeper into the teeth. This may damage your teeth as the acid softens the enamel and leads to demineralization of the teeth. So, it better wait at least for 30 to 60 minutes before your brush after consuming anything acidic.
