No smoke before bedtime: Smoking is anyways injurious in whatever time of the day you indulge in but having it before bedtime can keep you wide awake for long hours in the night. Nicotine in cigarettes is a stimulant and can cause alertness rather than calming you down. It makes the person find it difficult to fall asleep fast in the night and makes him/her restless.
