A drink or two will interfere with your REM sleep

May 26, 2015
Don’t think alcohol will help you fall asleep. The latest studies have shown a tiny nightcap will just help you doze off and will cause you to wake up at night. You may fall asleep in the first half of the night, but will suffer from disturbed sleep during the second half of the night. Thus, you will wake up feeling more tired and less rested during the night. So, skip alcohol and improve your REM sleep, the deepest sleep stage.
