How to use: Take Zonegran 100 mg tablet orally with or without food. Read the information on medication guide before starting the dose. To avoid kidney stones drink plenty of water while taking this medication. Your doctor gradually increase the dose. It may take several weeks to optimize the dose for your condition. Do not suddenly stop taking zonisamide.
Side Effects: Diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; headache; lack of coordination, lightheadedness, loss of appetite; nausea; tiredness; trouble sleeping. Inform your doctor if you have any of the below side effects while taking this medication. Mood changes, anxiety, panic attacks, irritable, agitated, restless, mentally or physically hyperactive, more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide.
Dosage: Usual adult dose for seizures: Initial dose: 100 mg once daily. The dose is increased gradually. Daily maintenance dose: 400 mg. Maximum daily dose: 600 mg.
