Uses: Ropin 1 mg tablet is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease (tremors or shaking, stiffness of muscle, muscle spasms, difficulty in walking) and restless legs syndrome (RLS).
How to use: Take Ropin 1 mg tablet with or without food. Take this medication for the full prescribed length of time, it takes several weeks for the improvement of symptoms.Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly as it cause withdrawal symptoms.
Side Effects: Nausea and vomiting, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, unusual sweating, headache, light-headedness, confusion, and dry mouth, stomach upset
Dosage: The dose is different for Parkinson's Disease and restless legs syndrome. Usual Adult Dose for Parkinson's Disease is Immediate-release tablets: Initial: 0.25 mg orally three times daily. Delayed release tablets: Initial: 2 mg orally once daily.Maximum dose: 24 mg orally once a day. The dose is increased on weekly basis based on individual efficacy and tolerability. Usual adult dose for restless legs syndrome (RLS): Immediate release tablets: Initial dose is 0.25 mg orally once daily on Day 1 and Day 2. The dose is increased on daily basis based on individual efficacy and tolerability. Maximum daily dose is 4 mg orally once daily.
