Category: Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker.

Pregnancy category: Perindopril belongs to US FDA pregnancy category D (Positive evidence of risk). Amlodipine besylate belongs to US FDA pregnancy category C (Risk cannot be ruled out)

Uses: Coversyl AM tablet is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent heart attacks, heart failure, heart disease, stroke and kidney problems.

How to use: Take Coversyl AM tablet orally with or without food once or twice daily. It does not cure high blood pressure but controls it. If your doctor advises low sodium and low potassium diet along with this medication follow it.

Side Effects: Dizziness, Headache, lightheadedness, tiredness, dry cough, stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
