How to use: Fortstar injection is given at your doctor's office by intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC), or intravenous (IV) route. Pentazocine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Do not drive or do any skillful jobs. And also do not drink alcohol as it potentiates the affects of dizziness and drowsiness.
Side Effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, headache, lightheadedness, False or unusual sense of well-being, mood changes, nausea and vomiting, difficulty urinating, redness, swelling, or irritation at injection site
Dosage: Usual adult dose for anesthesia, pain: 30 mg by intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC), or intravenous route (IV). This may be repeated every 3 to 4 hours. Maximum daily dose: 360 mg. ual adult dose for labor pain: 30 mg intramuscularly (IM) once.
