Uses: XET 20 mg tablet is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
How to use: Take XET 20 mg tablet orally with food to avoid nausea usually once daily. If it is causing drowsiness take it in the night time. After you stop medication you may experience withdrawal symptoms like dizziness, nausea, confusion. anxiety, insomnia, irritability. Your doctor will reduce the dose gradually to over come withdrawal symptoms.
Side Effects: Nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, constipation, weakness, dry mouth, yawning, sweating, blurred vision, vision changes, impotence, difficulty having an orgasm.
Dosage: Usual adult dose for depression: Immediate release tablets and suspension: Initial dose: 20 mg orally once a day. Maximum daily dose: 50 mg. sustained release tablets: Initial dose: 25 mg orally once a day. Maximum daily dose: 62.5 mg
