Uses: Coxegesic 40 mg injection is used fo the short term treatment of postoperative pain in adults. This medication is used when patients are unable to take oral pain medications.
How to use: Coxegesic 40 mg injection is given by IM or IV at doctors office. IV injection is given rapidly in to the vein or iv line and IM ijection is given slowly into the deep muscle.
Side Effects: Hypertension, fluid retention, oedema, hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis and angioedema), stevens-johnson syndrome.
Dosage: 40 mg administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM). Maximum daily dose is 80 mg per day.
