Pantoprazole is pronounced as: pan TOE pra zole 
Pantoprazole is a prescription drug available from your pharmacy store only with the prescription of a qualified medical practitioner. 
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Pantoprazole works by inhibiting the production of acid in the stomach.

  • Zollinger Ellison syndrome
  • Erosive oesophagitis

Pantoprazole along with antibiotics used to treat the gastric problems caused by the helicobacter pylori or (H. pylori )

Take the pantoprazole tablets or capsules as directed by your doctor by mouth with or with out food with glass of water. If you do not understand the instructions on the prescription ask your pharmacist to explain them to you.
Pantoprazole comes as delayed release capsule. Does not crush or chew the medication take it as a whole. If you have difficult to swallow open the capsule and sprinkle the pellets on the applause and swallow the applause with out chewing.
Pantoprazole can be taken along with the antacids.
If you are taking pantoprazole as OTC medication, use it for 3 to 4 days to have desired result. pantoprazole can not be taken more than two weeks with out doctor prescription. 
Children: Safety and efficacy of pantoprazole is not confirmed in children.
Older people: Caution is advised for usage in older people.
Pregnant women: pantoprazole belongs to FDA pregnancy category B. This means that pantoprazole is safe during pregnancy and is not expected to cause any harm to the unborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are planning for conception.
Lactating women: It is not known whether pantoprazole passes into breast milk or if it could harm the baby. Do not take pantoprazole with out first talking to doctor if you are breast feeding baby.

How do I store pantoprazole

Store pantoprazole at room temp (15 – 30 degrees C). Avoid excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight, never store in the bathroom.
Keep it out of reach of children. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed off safely. 
Pantoprazole may cause dizziness caution is advised while driving and operating the machine.
Use complete course of the medication given by doctor do not stop the medication with out consulting the doctor. You might get the relief from the symptoms after you complete the total coarse of the medication.
Take the medication daily once preferable in the morning.
