Uses: Olanzapik 20 mg tablet is used to treat mental conditions sush as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.
How to use: Take Olanzapik 20 mg tablet orally with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily. Read the medication guide comes along with the medicine. To avoid the side effects your doctor starts with low dose and gradually increase the dose and also at the end treatment gradually decrease the dose. Do not stop taking the dose with out consulting your doctor.
Side Effects: Weakness, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, stomach upset, nausea and vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, increased appetite, or weight gain
Dosage: Usual Adult Dose for Bipolar Disorder: Initial dose is 10 or 15 mg orally once daily. Maintenance dose is 5 to 20 mg orally once daily. Maximum daily dose is 20 mg orally once daily. Usual Adult Dose for Schizophrenia: Initial dose is 5 to 10 mg orally once daily. Maximum daily dose is 20 mg orally once daily.Usual Adult Dose for Depression: Initial dose is 5 mg orally once daily (with fluoxetine 20 mg) Maximum daily dose is 18 mg per day (with fluoxetine 50 mg per day).
