Uses: N-Dip 10 mg tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (chest pain).
How to use: Take N-Dip 10 mg tablet with or with out food. Swallow whole. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly as stopping suddenly may make conditions worse. If you are taking beta blockers like atenolol, carvedilol, labetalol, metoprolol along with it do not stop beta blocker as nifedipine alone can not control high blood pressure. Caution is advised for using in adults as it may cause low blood pressure. The safety of this medicine in children is not established. Avoid grape fruit juice while taking nifedipine. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure is advised while taking this medication and for any dose increase by your doctor.
Side Effects: Dizziness, headache, mood changes, flushing, weakness, swelling of ankles and feet, nausea. Over dosage of this medicine may cause hypotension (low blood pressure) and bradycardia.
Dosage: Extended release tablets: 30 to 60 mg orally once daily. Immediate release capsules: 10 mg orally 3 times daily.
