Metoclopramide is used in the disorders associated with decreased GI motility.
Delayed gastric emptying, diabetic gastroparesis a condition in which stomach does not contract.
It is an effective and popular drug to reduce feeling of vomiting in various conditions like cancer therapy.
Metoclopramide is taken orally with full glass of water. It is generally taken before meals at bedtime. Liquid form of medicine is taken with dose-measuring spoon. It is given in form of intramuscular and intra venous injection in condition where vomiting is induced due to any drug.
Always remember to inform your health expert if you are taking any prescription or OTC medication.

If you have any unusual reactions to metoclopramide
If you are suffering with stomach pain, bleeding from stomach or any liver disease or diabetes.
If you are planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding pl. make sure you notify to your health expert.
Metoclopramide causes sedation, dizziness, loose stools, and rest less muscle movements,
if these side effects are seen then consult your health expert. It should not be used to increase milk production in women as the child may develop loose motions.
10 mg three times daily. or
Use as directed by your physician, your physician prescribes depending on the severity of disease.
Use the complete course of medication as prescribed by your physician even though you feel better after one or two days of usage of medication.
Missed dose: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at same time to cover up the missed dose
This product should be stored at room temperature between (15-30 degrees C). Store it in a place where it won’t be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight never store in bathroom. Keep it out of reach of children. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking metoclopramide as it can increase the side effects. If you have stopped taking the drug then inform your doctor to avoid with drawl symptoms. Be careful if u drive or do any thing that requires you to be awake and alert.
