Uses: Vologard 500 mg tablet is used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia, sinusitis, bronchitis, prostatitis, plague, cystitis, anthrax.
How to use: Take Vologard 500 mg tablet with or without food usually daily once. Take this medication at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium.
Side Effects: Nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, gas, Constipation, stomach pain, headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, trouble sleeping
Dosage: Usual adult dose for pneumonia, sinusitis, bronchitis, prostatitis, plague: 500 mg orally once a day for one to two weeks. Usual adult dose for cystitis: 250 mg orally once a day for 3 days. Usual Adult Dose for anthrax prophylaxis: 500 mg orally once a day for 60 days after exposure.
