Uses: Zilmet is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
How to use: Take Zilmet orally with food as directed by your doctor. You can break this tablet into half if 40 mg is required. It is advisable to start with low dose and increase the dose only if your blood sugar levels are not controlled.
Side Effects: Headache, dizziness, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, stomach upset, weakness, or a metallic taste in the mouth may occur. Symptoms of low blood sugar include sudden sweating, shaking, fast heartbeat, hunger and nausea, blurred vision, dizziness and headache,confusion and tingling hands/feet.
Dosage: Usual adult is 1 tablet once or twice daily. Maximum daily dose is 4 tablets in a day.
