Uses: Aztreo 1 gram injection is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections including Urinary tract infections, pneumonia, Gonorrhoea, Lower respiratory tract infections, Meningitis, Bone and joint infections, Skin infections, Gynaecological infections, Cystic fibrosis, blood infections.

How to use: Aztreo 1 gram injection is available in vial as a powder for solution for injection or infusion. Volume of diluent is depend on the mode of injection. For IM injection 3 ml of water for Injection per gram is added to make solution. For IV injection up to 10 ml of water for injection per gram is added to make the solution. For IV infusion 50 ml of appropriate solution is added per gram. It is given by your doctor.

Side Effects: Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, mild stomach pain, bloating, dizziness, headache, blurred vision, pain or swelling at the site of injection.

Dosage: 1-8 g daily in divided doses by slow IV inj over 3-5 minutes or as IV infusion over 30-60 minutes. The maximum daily recommended dose is 8g.
