Uses: Amiodar 250 mg tablet is used to treat irregular heart beat. It corrects the rhythm in ventricles such as ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia.

How to use: Take Amiodar 250 mg tablet orally once or twice daily with or without food. Your doctor start with higher dose and gradually decrease the dose. Do not stop taking this medication with out consulting your doctor.

Side Effects: Nausea and vomiting, constipation, fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness, tiredness, shaking, unsteady gait

Dosage: The dose is depend on the response to the treatment. Start with a dose of 800 mg to 1600 mg a day for first three weeks then reduce to 600 to 800 mg a day for one month. Maintenance dose is 400 mg a day.
