Uses: Iopar -SR 250 mg Capsule is used to reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness such as headache, tiredness, nausea, upset stomach, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and shortness of breath. It is used to treat glaucoma. Along with other medications it is also used to treat edema and certain types of seizures.

How to use: Take Iopar -SR 250 mg Capsule with or without food. If you are taking for altitude sickness start taking 1 to 2 days before and continue taking it for 2 days after you climb the mountain. As it is "water pill" drinking extra fluids may be recommended. It may reduces the potassium levels. Your doctor may recommend foods contain potassium or potassium supplements.

Side Effects: Dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision, frequent urination, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting.

Dosage: For altitude sickness 125 to 250 mg orally every 2 to 4 times. For edema 250 mg to 375 mg orally once a day. For glaucoma 250 mg 1 to 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 1 gram per day.
