Uses of this medication:
Lisinopril is belongs to group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. It is used in the treatment of hypertension and management of hypertension in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
Lisinopril is also used in treatment of heart failure and myocardial infarction.
How to use this medication:
Take lisinopril with full glass of water. Can be taken with or without food. Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor if you are being treated for high blood pressure take this medication even you feel better.

Always remember to inform your health expert if you are taking any prescription or OTC medication.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have liver or kidney disease or you have diabetes.
Lisinopril belongs pregnancy risk category D. It cause birth defects to un born baby if the medication is taken during pregnancy.
If you are planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding pl. make sure you notify to your health expert.
Side effects and when to consult your health expert:
Dizziness, headache,
Nausea, vomiting.
Diarrhea rarely skin rash
If any of the above side effects become worse then consult your doctor immediately.
Dosage and Missed Dose:
Dosage:
For treatment of hypertension initial dose is 2.5mg daily at bed time maintenance dose is 10 to 20 mg once daily.
For heart failure initial dose is 2.5 mg daily maintenance dose is 5 to 40mg.
Use as directed by your physician, your physician prescribes depending on the severity of disease.
Use the complete course of medication as prescribed by your physician even though you feel better after one or two days of usage of medication.
Missed dose: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at same time to cover up the missed dose
Storage:
This product should be stored at room temperature between (15-30 degrees C). Store it in a place where it won’t be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight never store in bathroom. Keep it out of reach of children. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely.
General information:
This medication is not given for pregnant woman duo to the risk for unborn baby.
Due to low blood pressure you might notice dizziness, take precaution when you get up from lying position.
