Pregnancy due date calculator based on the first day
of last menstrual period
Now knowing your expected date of delivery (EDD) is just a click away. Use our handy pregnancy due date
calculator to get an estimation of when your bundle of joys is due to arrive in this world.
Our calculator estimates the delivery due date based on the first day of last menstrual period known as LMP. For instance, if your last period
came on the 2nd of July, 2012, then your LMP is 02.07.12. Our calculator estimates the due date keeping in
account the length of the cycle as 28 days (an average for most of the females) and that the conception occurred on day 14 of the cycle.
The formula to calculate the due date is quite simple and it works best if the usual cycle length is 28 days. It simply adds 280 day,
9 months and 7 days, or 40 weeks to the first day of your last menstrual period.
Keep in mind that this is a mere estimate as everyone’s cycle is not exactly of 28 days and even if it is, some babies may be born after
or before the expected date of delivery. Our calculated date shall by no means be used as the exact date of delivery.
