Q) I am married 15 years back and I do not have children. My husband report is normal. I had fibroid of uterus but it is cured by surgery. When I became pregnant I had abortion. Past one year I am visiting gynecologist for treatment and my sonography results are normal. Can you advise me if allopathic treatment solves this problem?

 

A) There may be many reasons for infertility (not able to have children). Fibroid is one of them. Fibroid may disturbs the normal structure of the uterus and can interfere with the pregnancy. Since you have been pregnant once and then had miscarriage, there is every possibility to get pregnant again. When the miscarriage happened last time?

 

I would like to know the detail of the treatment you are taking and the sonography report to give opinion about it.

 

From the history etc given I understand that it is more a structural problem because of fibroid etc and otherwise you are normal as far as hormonal status is concerned. Therefore there should be no reason to worry. You should continue to consult your gynecologist and take treatment as she suggest.

 

It is important to have intercourse during the fertile period of the menstrual cycle that falls on the middle period of the cycle. That can be calculated based upon the duration of the menstrual period.

 

Allopathic treatment is appropriate for such cases as some time they need some procedure.

 

It is also equally important to be careful after you become pregnant.
