Q) Some times my blood pressure shows more than normal i.e 140/90. I check my BP three times in a week. Most of the times it is normal. Can you advise me if i have high blood pressure.
A) High blood pressure is a serious condition and you must be careful at your age. It may lead to coronary heart disease, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure, and other health problems.
"Blood pressure" you might know is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps out blood. If this pressure rises and stays high over time, it can damage the body in many ways.
There are many ways of clasiifying blood pressure. One common category method is:

The ranges in the table apply to most adults (aged 18 and older) who don't have short-term serious illnesses.
All levels above 120/80 mmHg raise your risk, and the risk grows as blood pressure levels rise.
Thus, I would say your condition is somewhat prehypertension that means you're likely to end up with HBP, unless you take steps to prevent it.
Blood pressure tends to rise with age. Following a healthy lifestyle helps some people delay or prevent this rise in blood pressure. Key steps include following a healthy lifestyle, having ongoing medical care, and following the treatment plan that your doctor prescribes.
There may not be anything of great concern at this stage but you need to be vigilant and consult your doctor regularly.
