  Is a vegetarian diet better

Q) Vegetarian food is better than non vegetarian food

A) Not necessarily. Eating less fat, more fiber, more fresh fruit and vegetables and more starchy foods, may be easier to achieve with a vegetarian diet. However, animal foods provide a concentrated source of protein, vitamins and minerals. These nutrients can also be obtained from a vegetarian diet, but there can be difficulties with protein quality and with some micronutrients, like vitamin B12, calcium, and vitamin B2 (riboflavin) if milk products are left out of the diet. Nowadays, there are numerous yeast-based spreads and supplements are available that contain vitamin B complex including vitamin B12 for their use, some also with added vitamin B2.
