  Cough is for more than ten days is due to tuberculosis  

Q) I am suffering from cough and sputum from past 10 days. I have completed  the course of azithromycin and a bottle bronchorex but still i have cough. I do not habit of smoking.

A) Do you have any other respiratory illness, like wheezing, difficulty in breathing; if so, need to be examined by a physician. Any history of inhalation of some foreign body or fluid if there may be significant.

 
If we can exclude such underlying diseases, than there may not be worry. Cough sometimes may last longer. Dry cough or cough with whitish mucous expectoration may be suggestive of allergy or asthma; it needs to be rules out.
 
Sometimes profession may contribute to persistent cough. If someone works in smoky and or dusty environment for long, he may develop cough, one should take precaution such as use of mask.
