Risk factors are divided in to ocular and non ocular factors.

Ocular Factors2,3   

  • Increased intraocular pressure
  • Central corneal thickness
  • Optic nerve structure
  • Disc hemorrhage
  • Other ocular disorders

Non-ocular Factors1 

  • Age
  • Race
  • Family history/genetic predisposition
  • Vascular disease (hypotension and vasospasm)
